Dystopian vision for the future of education

This week, T-509 will discuss about “the risks of an increasing reliance on large scale learning environments in our educational systems”. One of the assignments, is to post a dramatic rendering of a worst case scenario for large-scale learning technologies in education.

Here is my vision! The upper picture is a room for autism therapy. Children learn to express themselves and talk with other children here. The lower picture is a classroom. Everyone is wearing a hood or box (? I don’t even know how to call it!) and learn from a screen for their personalized education. (The image I used here is said to be the image of a product from Yahoo. I don’ really know.)
